Remove a customer's personal data for good
A customer asks you to delete their data, or you're cleaning up records you no longer need. Anonymize & delete wipes their personal details while keeping your business records intact.
What gets removed
From the customer's action menu, click Anonymize & delete. This clears:
- Name, phone, and address on the customer record itself
- Their labels and notes
- Their email, replaced with a random anonymized placeholder
- Name, phone, address, and email on every one of their quote requests and events
What stays
Quote totals, guest counts, event dates, and statuses are left untouched, so your revenue history and reporting stay accurate. The quotes and events themselves aren't deleted, only the personal details attached to them.
Confirming
Type the customer's exact name into the confirmation field before Anonymize and delete becomes clickable, a deliberate extra step since this can't be undone.
Heads up
This cannot be undone. Once confirmed, the original name, email, phone, and address are gone, there's no way to restore them.
Once anonymized, the customer disappears from your Customers list, since their record is marked deleted, but their quotes and events keep working normally in your reports.
