Every calculator does one of two jobs, and you pick which on its Basic tab, under What this calculator takes. This replaces the old auto-confirm switch that used to sit on the Form tab.
Quote request
The default. The customer builds a menu and asks what it costs. The request arrives as New, and you answer it with a quote before anything is agreed.
Order
The customer orders at the prices shown in the calculator. The order confirms itself, arrives as Accepted, and the customer gets a confirmation email straight away.
Choosing order mode also changes every word the customer reads, in all of the calculator's languages. The button says Continue to order rather than Continue to quote, the form is headed Place your order, the submit button says Place order, and the thank-you page talks about an order.
Below the choice, a Disclaimer text field with English and Finnish tabs is included in that confirmation email. By default it notes that prices may still change based on the final arrangements.
Heads up
In order mode the customer buys at this calculator's prices. Every price, minimum and delivery fee has to be one you can promise without talking to them first.
When an order cannot be confirmed
Three things stop an order confirming itself: the date is blocked or already carries a confirmed event, the space is already booked, or the delivery address falls outside every one of your delivery areas.
Order mode adds a second choice, When an order cannot be confirmed:
* Refuse the order (the default). The customer is told the reason on the form and nothing is submitted. They can change the date or the delivery address and try again. * Take it as a quote request. The order arrives as New, and the customer's email says you will confirm it separately.
Orders on the Quote Requests list
An order carries an Order badge on its row, and an Orders filter appears above the list as soon as the first one arrives. Rows that came in before this setting existed carry no badge, because nothing in the data says what they were.
