The setup checklist

New accounts see a card on the dashboard titled Get your calculator live, with four steps:

  • Create your first category
  • Add your first product
  • Build your calculator
  • Publish & share
Each unfinished step has a Show me button, it navigates you to the right page and highlights the exact button to click, so you're never guessing where a feature lives. Completion is data-driven: as soon as you've actually created a category, added a product, and so on, that step ticks itself off, there's nothing to mark manually.

Pause, dismiss, resume

  • The collapse arrow just pauses the card, it stays minimized but comes back on your next visit.
  • The X dismisses it entirely (writes to your profile, so it stays hidden across every device you sign in on) and it never nags you again once you dismiss it.
  • Finished all four steps? The card shows a one-time "You're all set!" message, then disappears for good.
  • Changed your mind and want the checklist back? Open the sidebar user menu and click Restart setup guide, it reopens the card at your first unfinished step.

Page tours

Separately from the setup checklist, the Dashboard, Calculators, and Quotes pages each have a Take a tour button (with a question-mark icon) that walks through that specific page's layout, useful any time you want a refresher, not just when you're new.
