On a phone, CaterWay swaps the sidebar for a bottom tab bar: Home, Events, a raised + button in the middle, Quotes, and More.

The + button

Tap the center + to open Create, a short sheet with three shortcuts: New quote, New private event, New customer. It's the fastest way to log something while you're on-site or on the phone with a client.

Everything that doesn't fit the four main tabs lives under More: Products, Categories, Customers, Calculators, Media, Settings, and Support. Settings itself opens as a hub listing every section, business details, brand, languages, email, terms, team, your account, subscription and billing, install app, so tapping a row opens that section as its own screen with a back link.

Installing CaterWay as an app

After a few visits (or right after you send your first quote), a banner offers to Install CaterWay to your home screen. If your phone can't install it automatically, tap it anyway, it opens a short walkthrough with an iPhone / Android toggle:

• iPhone (Safari): tap the Share icon → Add to Home Screen → Add.
• Android (Chrome): tap the menu (⋮) → Install app (or Add to Home screen) → Install.

You can also trigger this any time from Settings → Install app, no need to wait for the banner.

Working with a spotty connection

If you lose signal, a small Offline pill appears in the header. A few actions, like updating a quote's or event's status, are queued automatically and sync the moment you're back online, you'll see a brief Syncing pill while that happens.

What still needs a computer

The full calculator builder, drag-drop product ordering, the selection-rule engine, and the design/embed tabs, is desktop-only. On a phone, opening a calculator gives you a simplified view: rename it, publish or unpublish it, copy the share link, and tap any product to edit its price.
