Add photos to a product

Customers choose with their eyes, and a dish they can see is a dish they are far likelier to add. You can give each product up to five photos, and the first one is the one shown on the card and at the top of the detail view.

How to add photos

• Log in to Caterway.
• Open Products from the menu on the left.
• Open a product (the pencil on its card opens Edit product), or add one with Add product.
• Near the top, under Product image or icon, drop an image onto the box or click to choose one.
• Add more the same way, up to five. The tile shows how many you have, for example 4/5.
• The first photo is marked Main, it is the one used on the card. Drag the photos to reorder them if you want a different one first.
• Save.

No photo? Pick an icon instead

If you would rather not photograph something, choose an emoji icon instead of an image, the empty box offers it right there. It keeps the card looking intentional rather than blank.

Good to know

• Five is the limit per product. The extras beyond the main one appear in the product's detail view as a small gallery the customer can browse.
• Photos are resized for you, so a large file from your phone is fine.
• The main photo is what shows in the calculator grid, so lead with your best one.
